“Steel products” means any consumer steel product for end use and not for resale, including clothes washers, clothes dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, microwave ovens. regular ovens, automobiles, semi-tractor trailers, farm and construction equipment, room air conditioner units, hot water heaters, snow blowers, barbeque grills, lawn mowers, and reinforcing bars used in patios, driveways, swimming pools and sidewalks.

Allegations: Defendants conspired to fix, raise, maintain and/or stabilize the price of steel products that were sold in the United States during the Class Period (January 1, 2005 to September 17, 2008). The Defendants’ conspiracy included a scheme to artificially restrict the supply of steel and steel products in the United States, allowing Defendants to charge supracompetitive prices for steel and steel products in the United States.

Defendants: Arcelor Mittal, Nucor Corp., SSAB Swedish Steel Corp., Gerdau Ameristeel Corp., Steel Dynamics, Inc., Arcelor Mittal USA, Inc., United States Steel Corp., AK Steel Holding Corp., Commercial Metals, Inc.

Consumers in the Following States May Be Affected: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
